Aim and Scope

GRASPACT Journal of Arts and Technology has emerged as a product of profuse corporate determination by the Department of Fine and Industrial Arts, to document for further studies, the vagaries of technological processes and products. The Journal sets out to reconcile the intradialectical resonance across the disciplines. It traverses the spectrum of humanistic expressions into the intricate art of making, known as technology, to provide academic pedestal for arts and technological research development. It is expected in the near future that research articles from other tangentially related disciplines in environmental studies, creative arts, Engineering, and technology would build up the gamut of contributions to this journal. It is remarkable to note that the Visual Arts discipline is connected by virtue of fundamentals of processes and products, as well as theories and praxes phenomena. GRASPACT Journal succinctly expresses the fundamentals of taxonomy of education through visual arts learning. Various articles address the psychomotive, cognitive and the affective domains peculiar to visual art praxis. GRASPACT expands the wealth of study resources and invite readers, especially students, to tour of variety of studio art experiments, have a grasp of formal visual elements, principles of art and gallery management. Extensive findings in various teaching and learning materials, which help to reinforce cognitive knowledge in the principles and elements of design, seemingly lacking at tertiary levels of visual art and technology education in Nigeria, are focused in the Journal. I would like to thank the authors for their contributions and most distinguished advisory scholars and editorial board members for their suggestions and support. At this point therefore, I seek your indulgence to invite your collaboration and readership of GRASPACT, the Journal of Arts and Technology.
